Some of our members have for a long time tried to establish a worldwide forum for discussing peace technology at large, i.e. explosive ordnance disposal, demilitarization techniques, hamper terrorists’ access to explosives, trace weapons and munition, etc. Our members have the knowledge needed. Thus, the Section will support the initiative to create such an organization.
The Jan Hansson Symposium on Chemical Stability and the International Disposal Conference are the two conference series run by the Section. The Stability Symposium was last run in 2007 and then seemed to have lost most of its attraction. If you feel different, please let us hear. Last Disposal Conference was run in 2013 and planning is underway for a new conference, maybe this fall.
